Your data
Delete your account
Applies to the Good Soil Society website and mobile app — one account covers both.
You can delete your Good Soil Society account yourself, at any time, without asking us. It is permanent and takes effect immediately.
On the website
- Sign in to your account.
- Open Account → Personal info.
- Choose Delete account and confirm.
In the app
- Open the menu and tap Account.
- Scroll to Delete account.
- Type DELETE MY ACCOUNT to confirm.
What gets deleted
Everything tied to your account, straight away:
- Your sign-in credentials and profile
- Your growing profile, zone and location settings
- Garden plans, plant placements and AI reviews
- Sower conversations, and your AI consent record
- Any reports you filed on a Sower answer
- Soil health logs, prenatal plans and saved guides
- Photos you uploaded, including your profile picture
- Your email subscription preferences
If you have an active subscription it is cancelled automatically as part of the deletion — there is nothing separate to cancel first, and you are not charged again.
If you have a producer listing in the directory, it is removed too, along with its photos. A listing nobody can correct or answer for should not outlive its owner. If you want the listing to stay and only your account to go, contact us before deleting so the listing can be handed over.
What we keep, and why
One thing survives deletion: Stripe billing records. If you ever paid us, Stripe keeps the invoices and receipts for those payments. Tax rules and payment-dispute windows both outlive the account, and deleting them would leave us unable to answer a question about a charge you made — including your own.
Your subscription is cancelled as part of the deletion, no card details are kept on file, and those records are no longer connected to a Good Soil Society profile or to anything you did in the app. Nothing else is retained.
We also keep a dated note that an account was deleted — not whose — so we can answer questions about deletions without keeping the account itself.
If you cannot sign in
Use the “Forgot password?” link on the sign-in page first. If you still cannot get in, email hello@goodsoilsociety.com from the address on the account and ask us to delete it. We will confirm it is you before acting, and we will tell you when it is done.
