Good Soil Society

For producers

Get your operation in front of the families looking for you.

If you grow or raise food the way the land was meant to be tended, we'll list you in the Good Soil directory — free, on the website and in the app — and help the right people find you. No fees, no commission, ever.

What you get

Marketing exposure, not another bill.

A free listing that works for you

A public profile on the website and in the GSS app, in front of families actively hunting for clean food near them. No setup fee, no monthly fee, no commission on a single sale.

We write your story

Most producers are too busy farming to market. Tell us about your land and we'll write your profile for you — the practices, the family, the why — in language that actually moves people.

We keep you in rotation

Featured-producer spots, seasonal roundups, and social features pull from the directory. Being listed means you're in the pool we draw from when we point our audience somewhere.

A badge that means something

Good Soil Pledged and Good Soil Verified aren't pay-to-play. Your practices are stated openly and tied to your name — and the Verified tier means someone from GSS has actually seen them. That carries weight your own marketing can't.

The bar

The badge is honest because the claim is public.

We don't list everyone. What makes the directory trustworthy isn't paperwork — it's public specificity: every grower states their actual practices, openly, tied to their name. A concrete public claim a neighbor can ask about is hard to fake and easy to hold accountable. If a listing ever misrepresents itself, anyone can raise a concern, and it can be removed.

Most producers who farm this way already clear the bar without changing a thing. If that's you, the application is mostly just writing down what you already do — and committing to it publicly.

Two tiers

Getting listed is Pledged. Verified is earned.

You don't need a site visit to be listed — you publicly commit to the Good Soil Standard and state your practices openly. Verified is the premium tier, earned when someone from GSS has personally visited. It's a recognition, not a hoop.
