Why we charge what we charge
Subscriptions are how we stay independent.
We're ad-free. We don't sell your data. We don't take money from brands in exchange for recommending them — what Sower suggests is whatever its knowledge base actually supports. Your subscription is what keeps it that way: it means we answer to you, not to advertisers.
Where part of your subscription goes
A portion of every subscription funds church community gardens.
A meaningful percentage of every Steward subscription goes into the GSS Church Garden Fund — startup grants, seed stock, raised-bed materials and on-site coaching for churches that want to grow real food for their community. Hungry neighbors fed, and one more living example of soil-first food in every town that wants one.

How does the free trial work?
Seven days, one trial per account. You add a card at checkout but you're not charged during the trial, and we'll email you before the first payment. On day 8 it becomes $10/month unless you cancel — and if you cancel during the trial, access ends right away and you're never charged.
What's free, exactly?
The Find a Producer directory is free forever — search real regenerative farms and producers near you, no account fee, no card. Sower (the AI) lives on the Steward tier, which you can try free for 7 days.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes — one click from the billing page, including during the trial, in which case you're never charged. Cancellations take effect at the end of the period you've already paid for. No prorated refunds, no “reason for cancelling” form.
What if I want a refund?
If something is genuinely broken or didn't work for you, email hello@goodsoilsociety.com within 30 days of your first charge and we'll refund it. No essay required.
What do I get on Steward?
Conversational Mode — ask anything, answered from a curated regenerative knowledge base — with 20 questions a day. Garden Planner (a season-by-season planting guide, including a Prenatal & Postpartum guide) is still in development, as are the other modes; each unlocks automatically for your plan when it ships — no upgrade, no price change.
